The Association understands its main function in bundling and defining future-oriented interests of the members to a profitable package. Promotional window design and shops mark the roots and the history. In the era of internet trading the Association appears more as a warrantor for target- oriented visual communication.

EUROPEAN VISUAL MARKETING
MERCHANDISING ASSOCIATION

The European Association for Visual Marketing represents the interests of its members and partners in the field of visual marketing. Therefore the association is also politically active and is committed to the further development of the industry. One example of this is the introduction of the Retail Design course at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in order to establish a further high-quality training opportunity in the industry. In the same way, the industry, stationary trade and other associations active in the field of visual marketing are supported by the VMM.

Visual marketing includes much more than the typical shop window design, it also includes the design of the buying space, the visible buying experience and the presentation of goods. This is also the reason why the industry cannot be reduced to just one professional group.

EUROSHOP 2017 – WE WERE PART OF IT!

VMM presented itself this year according to the motto "curiosity for the retail world" on a ca. 600m² stand. The association provided a big platform for its sponsoring members, members and all interested persons. There were interesting specialist presentations about the latest topics in the retail industry as well as some sponsoring members that took the chance to present themselves on the VMM both.

NEW BOARD MEMBERS OF VMM

Board members of VMM 2017

Board members for the next three years are: (from left to right) president Andreas Gesswein, Vice-president Klaus Lach, Karin Wahl, Anett Kuschel, Claudia Böhm, Uje Fenger und Günter Reinermann

This year there was a membership meeting within EuroShop, which included a regular election of the board members. Andreas Gesswein was confirmed as president for the next three years as well as Klaus Lach as vice president and office manager of the association. Claudia Böhm, Uje Fenger and Günter Reinermann were re-elected without a dissentient vote Anett Kuschel and Karin Wahl who were former board advisors were elected as new board members.

We would like to thank all board members and board advisors for their work for the VMM and we would like to wish all newly elected and re-elected board members all the best for the next years!
